Ingredients
1 can evaporated milk
1 can condensed milk
8 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup white sugar(for the caramel)
Procedure:
-caramelize the sugar (no water)
-mix eggyolk..evap milk..condensed milk..vanilla and beat lightly.
-Pour the caramelized sugar into aluminum moulds - you can use any shape: oval, round or square. Spread the caramel on the bottom of the moulds.
-Gently pour the mixture on top of the caramel on the aluminum moulds. Fill the moulds to about 1 to 1 1/4 inch thick.
-Cover moulds individually with aluminum foil.
-Bake for about 45 minutes. Before baking the Leche Flan, place the moulds on a larger baking pan half filled with very hot water. Pre-heat oven to about 370 degrees before baking.
-Let cool then refrigerate
Recipe for Biko
Ingredients:
1/2 Glutinous Rice
1/4 Brown Sugar
1 Coconut
1 Margarine
1 Condensed Milk
Procedure:
-Cook the rice
-Scrape the white thingy inside the coconut and squeeze it with a 1 cup of water to a coconut milk
-Cook the coconut milk until the latik comes
-If the rice is cooked, cook it again in the frying pan(stir up with a ladle non-stop)
-Add margarine stir up with a ladle non-stop
-Put the cooked rice in a plate container
-Spread the latik and condensed milk on top of the biko or cooked rice
